Lorna Reid Elevates Modern Jazz with “I Will Tell Your Story” on Vinyl

Lorna Reid’s “I Will Tell Your Story” album is now available on vinyl with analog warmth and depth.

Edinburgh-based jazz singer Lorna Reid returns with I Will Tell Your Story, a full-length album now available on vinyl. Produced by Boo Hewerdine, the project features a blend of jazz, blues, and soul across 11 original compositions.

Reid’s vocal delivery stands at the album’s core, particularly in the title track, where horns and rich backing vocals bring her lyrical stories to life. “Sweet Baby Blues,” released previously, previewed the emotional terrain the album explores.

BBC Radio Scotland’s Iain Anderson offered high praise: “This album is simply great, soulful, grown-up song craft.”

The album includes collaborations with artists like Louise Clare Marshall, Gustaf Ljunggrens, and Scottish musicians Euan Stevenson and Konrad Wisniewski. With recordings held at several studios in Scotland and mastering by Nick Watson, the project delivers polished yet heartfelt jazz.

The vinyl edition features heavyweight black pressings, original cover art, and lyric inserts, available via Bandcamp and indie shops. Reid will present the album live at Crazy Coqs in London on November 16.
