Alt-pop innovator Isabel LaRosa debuts her new single “My Girl,” available now via Slumbo Labs/RCA Records. Known for her emotionally immersive sound, Isabel uses this release to unveil a deeper layer of her story—balancing cinematic mood with intimate confession.
Set in a dreamlike atmosphere, “My Girl” is steeped in longing. The track adds new dimensions to LaRosa’s narrative arc, a natural progression from her breakthrough album Raven.
In discussing the song, Isabel stated: “My Girl is about wanting someone you know you can’t have, but still not being able to let go of the ‘what if.’ It’s about being unafraid to love loudly even if there are consequences. It’s very special to me because it’s a part of my identity that I’ve never shared before.”
Her self-directed film project for Raven brought her storytelling full circle, visually pairing music and emotion. With “My Girl,” that storytelling expands again—bridging personal identity with universal themes of desire and restraint.
