Luke Combs continues to merge music and culture with the release of “Back In The Saddle,” his new single now available across all platforms. The song arrives with a visually nostalgic music video directed by Tyler Adams, starring NASCAR legends Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty.
Combs shared: “So much work goes into making these songs, so much time we spend making them, from the studio writing them to the videos. I got to make the video with Dale Jr. and Richard Petty, which is a total dream come true. My grandpa would be rolling over in his grave in a good way if he knew that I got to hang out with Richard Petty and Dale Jr.”
The single, co-written with Dan Isbell and Jonathan Singleton and produced by Combs, Singleton and Chip Matthews, showcases Combs’ signature balance of country soul and stadium-level energy.
Combs’ year continues at full speed. He recently made history as the first country artist to headline both Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. His album Fathers & Sons continues to receive acclaim for its honesty and emotional resonance.
With a resume that now includes GRAMMY-nominated tracks, multi-platinum certifications, collaborations with Post Malone and Bailey Zimmerman, and even a co-owned entertainment venue in Nashville, Combs is redefining what it means to be a country artist in today’s landscape.
“Back In The Saddle” is a vivid reflection of his journey—grounded, heartfelt, and reaching wider than ever.
