With “Typa,” GloRilla continues to evolve her visual style, releasing a video that captures the emotional highs and lows of a modern relationship. The Benny Boom-directed piece stars Keyshia Cole and NFL rising talent Xavier Legette alongside GloRilla in a story that blends grit with grace.

The track itself features a standout sample of Keyshia Cole’s 2005 hit “Love,” providing a lush sonic backdrop for Glo’s razor-sharp bars. Xavier Legette plays Glo’s ride-or-die partner, offering support even as the storyline dives into tense moments—including Glo’s fictional arrest.

Keyshia Cole lends not only her vocals but also her presence in the video, appearing in scenes where she offers advice and encouragement. Her involvement adds depth, tying past and present R&B influence together with Glo’s rap storytelling.

Following a banner debut with GLORIOUS—which hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200—GloRilla became the top-selling female rap artist of 2024. Her momentum carried into 2025 with major collaborations and performances across the country.

Her schedule is packed this summer with appearances at the BET Awards, Summer Jam, and ESSENCE Festival. She’ll also launch her own event, the first annual Glo Bash in Memphis.

Earlier this year, she received Billboard’s Powerhouse Award, reinforcing her growing impact in the music industry.
