Underground star Luvcat is back with her most arresting single yet. “Lipstick” is a dark, seductive track that explores love, kink, and the blur between pleasure and pain. With Parisian noir elegance and British punk attitude, Luvcat offers a new chapter in her sonic mythology.

“Lipstick is a song about love and kink,” she explains. “The desire to please and feel like a little doll to be played with but shown tenderness and devotion in equal measure.”

Inspired by a real-life encounter with a man who called her “doll”—and later played drums on the track—the single is paired with a video co-directed with Ollie Bradley-Baker, depicting Luvcat as a wind-up doll in a dreamlike, twisted homage to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

“I used to dress up as her as a kid… a wind-up doll come to life to terrorize the town,” she shares. “Some things never change I guess.”

Luvcat first caught attention with “Matador” and built on that success with “He’s My Man” and “Love and Money.” With over 25 million streams, she’s become a force on the indie-alt scene, championed by Rolling Stone UK, Wonderland, NME, Clash, and Billboard UK.

Her cult fanbase has carried her across continents, including a recent sold-out EU tour. She’s now booked for over 30 summer festivals, and will play NYC and LA underplays later this month, including a Lipstick watch party in LA.
