FINNEAS unveils “2001” music video with Kate Hudson. Claudia Sulewski directs homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Ten-time GRAMMY® and two-time Academy Award winner FINNEAS has released the official music video for “2001”, from his sophomore album For Cryin’ Out Loud! [Interscope Records]. The video, directed by Claudia Sulewski, features Kate Hudson as a no-nonsense director and FINNEAS as a smitten actor, all set against a cinematic backdrop paying tribute to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

“When I first started conceptualizing this music video, I knew I wanted to pay homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey, with nods to some of the film’s most iconic set ups… I wanted to mix in some light, cheeky moments between Finneas and Kate,” explains director Sulewski.

Full of subtle visual references and behind-the-scenes Easter eggs, the video explores the tension between romantic longing and creative focus on set.

The release caps off an extraordinary year for FINNEAS, including a SOLD-OUT global tour and his scoring debut for Alfonso Cuarón’s Disclaimer on Apple TV+.

FINNEAS will return to the European festival circuit this summer with appearances across the U.K., Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Austria. He’ll then perform at Osheaga, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands in North America.
