Miley Cyrus’ Visual Album “Something Beautiful” Hits Theaters Worldwide in June

“Something Beautiful” screens June 12 in North America, June 27 globally. Miley Cyrus directs the music-driven film.

Miley Cyrus is bringing her most ambitious artistic endeavor to the big screen with Something Beautiful, a visually immersive pop opera set for special one-night-only theatrical screenings. Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision confirmed today that the film will be released in North American theaters on June 12, followed by international showings on June 27.

Fans can purchase tickets starting Thursday, May 22. The theatrical debut follows the film’s June 6 premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York City.

Something Beautiful is a fantasy-inspired visual album featuring 13 original songs from Miley Cyrus’ forthcoming ninth studio record of the same name. The album, out May 30 via Columbia Records, is executive produced by Cyrus and Shawn Everett.

Directed by Cyrus herself, alongside Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, the film features striking cinematography by Benoît Debie. The audio is specially mixed for theater environments by Alan Meyerson, renowned for his work on Dune Part One and The Dark Knight.

“Something Beautiful is my dream project come true—fashion, film, and original music coexisting in harmony,” Cyrus shared. “Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality.”

The film is produced in collaboration with XYZ Films, Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), Sony Music Vision, Columbia Records, and Live Nation.

With this release, Cyrus affirms her position as a creative force merging music and visual storytelling in unprecedented ways.
