Riding high off the success of their No. 1 debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), global girl group KATSEYE enters a new chapter with “Gnarly,” a gritty and electric single out now via HYBE x Geffen Records. It’s the group’s most audacious track yet—filled with layered production, pounding 808s, and rave-inspired synths.
The track was helmed by a powerhouse production team that includes Pink Slip, Tim Randolph, HYBE founder “hitman” Bang, and Slow Rabbit. “Gnarly” captures the dualities of youth, fame, and identity—contradictions KATSEYE embraces head-on.
In their own words: “‘Gnarly’ feels true to us — it’s bold, it’s fun, and it shows a different side of what we’re about. It feels good to share more of that as we grow alongside the EYEKONS.”
The video, directed by Cody Critcheloe, made its premiere across MTV platforms and lit up the Paramount Times Square billboard, underscoring the group’s global reach and visual vision.
With members hailing from six different cultures, KATSEYE is the first group of its kind—a result of HYBE and Geffen’s Dream Academy and the subject of the Netflix series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.
With “Gnarly,” they continue to redefine pop by fusing raw intensity with flawless execution—and never losing their edge.
