German-born, London-based artist Sebastian Schub has released “Scared of Screaming,” his latest single via Island EMI / Capitol Records. The emotional new track, produced by Dann Hume in Wales, arrives ahead of his debut EP Sing Like Madonna, out June 6.
Schub describes “Scared of Screaming” as his most personal track to date. “The lyrics were slowly gathering on a note on my phone… Dann got out his sweet and sultry baritone guitar and two hours later the song was done.”

A former opera student turned actor turned street performer, Schub’s unconventional journey informs his heartfelt storytelling. After building his craft through late-night street performances and open mics at Camden’s Spiritual Bar, he saw viral success online—proving his years of groundwork were worth it.
Sing Like Madonna was crafted with notable collaborators including Steve Fitzmaurice, Rob Kirwan, and Dann Hume. The EP showcases an artist steeped in realism, lyricism, and relentless passion.
Schub is set to play headline shows in New York and Los Angeles this summer and will support Noah Kahan at BST Hyde Park in London on July 4.
