Ally Salort is back with “Horror Movie,” a bold new single out now via Disruptor Records/RCA Records. The track showcases her talent for cinematic songwriting—this time portraying the haunting allure of a love story gone wrong. With vivid lyrical storytelling and atmospheric production, Salort cements her reputation as a compelling voice in contemporary pop.

On the inspiration behind the track, Ally shares: “Horror movie is one big metaphor for going back to a person that will hurt you every time. Opening the door (the relationship) that everyone around you is screaming for you to not open; very similar to the girl that dies first in every scary film. I had the lines ‘I’m damned if I do but I’ll be more damned if I don’t’ and from there we wrote the chorus. Can’t wait for people to hear the whole thing!”

Raised in Maplewood, NJ, Salort’s early passion for music led her to singing lessons at seven. A talent competition at 14 brought her to LA, where she gained valuable industry insight. Since then, she’s cultivated an audience online and toured internationally—most recently with Mackenzy Mackay.

Currently working on her debut EP, Ally’s music continues to explore themes of love, growth, and vulnerability, drawing comparisons to Fiona Apple and Ariana Grande for her emotional clarity and lyrical strength.
