Brooklyn’s genre-defying hip-hop duo The Underachievers are back. After a five-year hiatus, Issa Gold and AKTHESAVIOR return with Homecoming, their first full-length release since 2018, out now via SLANG. Known for blending spirituality, lyricism, and New York grit, the duo’s latest offering reaffirms their role as influential voices in the modern hip-hop landscape.

With its nine tracks, Homecoming explores self-awareness, transformation, and legacy. Built on hypnotic textures and precise lyricism, the project feels both urgent and evolved—offering listeners a mature body of work that remains rooted in the duo’s distinct ethos.

The rollout has included standout singles like “Brand New”, accompanied by a creative visual presenting the artists as collectible action figures, and “Have Nots”, produced by Issa himself. That track ignited attention across social media, earning Issa a feature on the Splice Producer list, and drawing significant engagement on On The Radar with 1,400+ comments and 4,400 shares.

Also featured is “Megatron”, a sharp-edged anthem exploring duality and the hustle of NYC life through a striking, narrative-driven video.

Adding a touch of generational connection, DJ Enuff joins the project, grounding Homecoming in Brooklyn’s ever-evolving hip-hop legacy. The duo has also reemerged onstage—performing at New York Fashion Week with GianiNYC and reuniting with Flatbush Zombies for a standout LA performance.

With support from Spotify’s Rap Rising, Alternative Hip-Hop, and Apple Music’s Underground Hip-Hop Essentials, Homecoming signals a new creative chapter—refined, fearless, and entirely their own.
