Introspekt Announces Debut Album “Moving The Center”, Shares Powerful Bass-Driven Single

DJ and producer Introspekt reveals her debut album “Moving The Center” alongside the deep, dubstep-laced track “The Transmission.”

Commanding attention with every release, Introspekt continues her sonic evolution with the drop of “The Transmission,” a bold instrumental that arrives with the announcement of her debut full-length album Moving The Center, due June 20 via Tempa.

Raised in LA and now based in New York, Introspekt has been central to reimagining UK garage and dubstep through a unique perspective—bringing a queer, Black, trans lens to a traditionally male-dominated space. With “The Transmission,” she leans fully into her identity and musical power, fusing deep dubstep with rhythm cues from vogue ballroom—an undercurrent that vibrates through all of her work.

The single builds anticipation for Moving The Center, a project that Introspekt describes as a disruption of the genre’s perceived center of gravity. “Moving The Center embodies an alternate perspective to that which has been dominant in dance music,” she explains. “It throws a wrench in the seemingly common perception of Dubstep as a masculinist sensibility. Moving The Center pushes a feminine physicality to the front of the bassbins. Femmes to the front!”

The album pays tribute to the genre’s origins in South London while expanding its narrative to encompass the wider Black diaspora, seamlessly connecting early dubstep soundscapes with East Coast club and global bass music. With her 2023 EP Tectónica already making waves, this next chapter cements Introspekt as one of the most visionary producers redefining modern electronic music.
