As she gears up to release her fourth studio album HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY on August 22, Mariah The Scientist has shared a new single titled “Is It A Crime,” featuring Kali Uchis. The collaboration continues her string of emotionally rich, elegantly produced tracks.
The song’s production by Matt1k and Nineteen85 supports its theme of emotional vulnerability, paired with a reflective, looping hook.
“Is it a crime to fall in love a couple times, tell me? What’s it to ya, tell me? Is it a crime?”
“Burning Blue” laid the foundation for Mariah’s 2025, and its impact led to her joining The Recording Academy’s 2025 New Membership Class and praise from Rihanna during her European tour.
She will soon be seen live at Lollapalooza, host an intimate show at The Vic Theatre, and appear as the keynote speaker at ENVSN Festival in New York.
