‘MIXTEIP’ sees J Balvin combine reggaeton’s golden era with fresh cross-genre collaborations and visuals.

J Balvin brings surprise and substance with MIXTEIP, a genre-spanning project filled with stylistic twists and thoughtful nods to his past. From bold features to visual nostalgia, the album is a full-circle artistic release.

Lead track “Zun Zun” links him with Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavarez. Filmed with a 1993 camera lens, its video blends house party chaos with polished homage to old-school reggaeton.

MIXTEIP’s rich texture deepens with tracks like “Misterio,” as Gilberto Santa Rosa’s spoken passage — “Hermano, el amor no es siempre lo que parece…” — transitions the song into a modern salsa fusion.

Trap-influenced moments like “Bruz Wein” and “Uuu” balance out emotional reggaeton moments in “PQBL.” Balvin never lingers in one sound for too long, and that’s the point.

As the project ends with “¿Dónde Está Jose?”, it becomes clear MIXTEIP is both a reintroduction and a renewal.
