Known for their magnetic live shows and genre-blending sound, Rainbow Kitten Surprise have unveiled “Dang,” a new single available now via Atlantic Records. Packed with emotion and energy, the song is the first in a new wave of material from the band.

“Dang” brings together textured instrumentation and expressive vocals, with Ela Melo steering the track into anthem territory. From its opening chords to its memorable chorus, it’s a song that feels tailored for wide-open skies and long drives.

Complementing the track is a music video set in East Nashville, portraying a couple’s nighttime adventure to uncover a surprise RKS performance. Modeled after the cult-classic Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, the visual presents a modernized, inclusive take on the concept, rooted in connection and musical magic.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise described the process in their own words:

“When we wrote this, we envisioned tracking it with Jay Joyce and it’s pretty legendary that actually came to be… For your enjoyment, here’s ‘Dang.’”

With its blend of vulnerability, creativity, and strong visuals, “Dang” reflects the band’s continuous growth while paying homage to what makes them unique. It’s both a callback and a leap forward—offering fans something familiar yet new.
