Behind Mae Martin’s comic timing and screen presence is a musical storyteller with an eye for detail and a heart wide open. With I’m A TV: Welcome Distraction Edition, releasing June 20, they bring fans closer into their universe—one defined by vulnerability, wit, and cinematic reflection.
The deluxe project introduces two brand-new songs and offers acoustic versions of beloved originals. The sound is quieter, but the impact is louder.

“A chronic oversharer,” Mae confesses. “But here, there’s no pressure to land a punchline, only space to tell the truth.”
Visual storytelling has always been central to Mae’s work, and this record is no different. It’s not just a collection of songs—it’s a moodboard of lived experience, co-produced by The Darcys’ Jason Crouse and Wes Marskell.
The accompanying live shows in San Francisco, Portland, and Vancouver will bring the Welcome Distraction Edition to intimate stages, allowing fans to witness Mae’s musical journey in real time.
