Lil Wayne’s 14th studio album, Tha Carter VI, is out now via Young Money Entertainment and Republic Records. The highly awaited project continues the rapper’s storied Tha Carter series with new sounds and a powerful list of collaborators.
The 19-track album includes features from Bono, Andrea Bocelli, Jelly Roll, Kodak Black, MGK, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Wyclef Jean, and Wayne’s sons, Kameron Carter and Lil Novi. Production credits go to Lil Wayne, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Wyclef Jean, and other top-tier names.
Of the album, Wayne said: “Real art can’t be rushed — and y’all know I ain’t never been on nobody’s clock but mine. Been silent but not still. To the fans who’ve been waiting, I love you. Wayne celebrates Tha Carter VI with a major live event—his first headlining concert at Madison Square Garden on June 6. It marks a pivotal moment in the rollout and offers fans a direct connection to the new material.
The album’s release also launches Wayne’s Tha Carter VI North American tour, with Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington supporting all dates, and NoCap joining for select stops.
