Cameron Whitcomb has released his newest track “Gasoline & Matches” via Atlantic Records, a brooding and vibrant single produced by Jack Riley. Co-written by Riley, Whitcomb, and Chance Emerson, the song delivers an emotional exploration of memory and loss.

“You can pretty much get rid of everything except the memories,” says Whitcomb — a statement that defines the song’s thematic weight.

Coming off the success of “Bad Apple,” which debuted at #2 on Alternative Radio’s Most Added list, “Gasoline & Matches” continues Whitcomb’s streak of emotionally rich, metaphor-driven songwriting.

The artist, who currently boasts over 7 million monthly Spotify listeners and 300 million streams, has released multiple standout tracks in 2025. These include “My Expense,” a collaboration with Evan Honer, and the soaring anthem “Hundred Mile High.”

“Gasoline & Matches” further cements Cameron’s evolving sound — bold, unafraid, and true to life’s emotional complexities.
