Sebastian Schub unveils “Be Still,” the newest single from his highly anticipated debut EP Sing Like Madonna, releasing June 6 via Island EMI / Capitol Records.

“Be Still” is a tender showcase of Schub’s deep baritone and a heartfelt reflection of the emotional vulnerability that defines his sound. It’s the third glimpse into a debut project shaped by real-life experiences and a long-earned creative voice.

Born in Hamburg, Schub began as an opera student before turning to busking in the streets of London. He attended music school briefly before finding his true musical path through pub gigs and open mics at Camden’s Spiritual Bar, the same venue that helped launch Michael Kiwanuka.

His grassroots approach paid off: after building a loyal following through live shows, Schub went viral online—proving that hard work still has its place in a digital world.

Schub crafted the EP with renowned producers Steve Fitzmaurice, Rob Kirwan, and Dann Hume, who helped bring Schub’s artistic vision to life.

“He’ll plug the guitar in and make it sound exactly the way I would want it to sound,” Schub says of Hume.

Having only learned English at 15, Schub dedicated himself to mastering it. “I read Jane Eyre four times… just to get it.”

Following a sold-out UK tour, he heads to the US in June and joins Noah Kahan at BST Hyde Park this summer.

“Be Still” is available now on all platforms.
