Tiera Kennedy delivers a soul-stirring reminder of the importance of connection in her new single “Somebody Like You.” The track, co-written with Cameron Bedell and Jared Scott, is an emotional call to stay grounded and lean on those who hold space for us when life gets hard.

“We all need somebody—someone who sees you, holds space for you, and helps you get through the hard stuff. Somebody who keeps the light on for you when you’re finding your way back home,” Kennedy shares.

The song is accompanied by a visually rich video, directed by Kamren Kennedy, that places Tiera in a scenic Tennessee field—an open and heartfelt performance that brings the song’s message to life.

Following her headline show at The Basement East, the release of “Somebody Like You” caps a string of career-defining moments. This month, Kennedy was nominated for her first BET Award for her collaboration on “Blackbiird,” a powerful track led by Beyoncé.

She also welcomed Ms. Tina Knowles to her Apple Music Radio show, The Tiera Show, for an episode celebrating MATRIARCH, motherhood, and legacy.

In addition, Tiera released her lauded cover of Beyoncé’s “1+1” across DSPs, joined The War & Treaty on their headline tour, and made her debut at Stagecoach.

Set to perform at CMA Fest and Vineyard Jam this June, Tiera Kennedy’s 2025 is shaping up to be nothing short of groundbreaking.
