Aidan Bissett returns with “2 much 2 handle,” a fresh, emotionally charged single released via Capitol Records that arrives alongside news of his debut album shut up and love me, out July 25. The track captures Bissett’s signature blend of indie-pop energy and introspective songwriting as he continues to carve out a space of his own.

The single delivers a high-energy take on the sensation of infatuation — electric, disorienting, and impossible to ignore. With bold lyrics like “On the table I was kissing your mouth, was it too much to handle?” and “Told your daddy that I slept on the couch, but he’s smart enough to figure it out,” Bissett leans into the rush and drama of new romance.

“This one feels like a stop-and-go rollercoaster,” Bissett says. “It captures the feeling of hitting your highest peaks and your lowest lows. It’s about anticipation — you’re going up and up, but the fall never happens.” The accompanying visualizer deepens that sensation, with Bissett walking a treadmill-like conveyor belt while others breeze past him.

“2 much 2 handle” follows two previously released singles, “ricochet” and “are we in love yet?”, both also featured on the forthcoming album.

To support the release, Bissett will embark on a headlining North American tour starting September 14 in San Diego and ending October 22 at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale May 16 at 10AM local time.
