Canadian R&B sensation Aqyila wraps up her acclaimed debut album Falling Into Place with “Soar,” a soaring and reflective final track that showcases her evolving artistry.

Co-written with Maya J’an B and produced by Charlie Coffeen (The Weeknd, Rae Sremmurd), “Soar” encapsulates the emotional highs of Aqyila’s journey. “‘Soar’ puts the final touch on this body of work,” she says. “It felt like the perfect gift to fans, and perfect way to present this total project.”

Already earning two JUNO Awards, including one this year for “Bloom,” Aqyila’s debut has garnered praise from Billboard, BET, and Vibe for its confident voice and genre-defining presence.

2024 was a major breakthrough year with viral singles, brand collaborations, and standout performances both at home and abroad. In 2025, she toured with Pink Sweat$, received two more JUNO nominations, and delivered a standout performance at the JUNO Awards broadcast.

With “Soar” now out, a vinyl edition of the album arriving in May, and summer festival dates lined up, Aqyila’s debut era ends on a high—and her next chapter is already in flight.
