Naomi Sharon is ushering in a new phase of personal and creative maturity with her upcoming EP The Only Love We Know, due May 9 via OVO Sound. The EP’s elegant and introspective title track is out now, marking a shift in tone from romantic longing to self-affirming clarity.

Sharon, known for her emotionally rich vocal delivery, explores acceptance and personal growth in this latest body of work. Executive produced by Jordan Ullman of Majid Jordan, the EP evolves from her earlier themes of yearning into reflections on independence and finding happiness within.

“This EP is more about finding happiness within yourself and embracing the positive things in life,” Sharon says. “If something does not work out, that is okay too.”

She attributes much of the EP’s sonic atmosphere to her early influences, citing her father’s deep house taste and Buddha-Bar compilations: “That aesthetic and vibe have now been translated into this EP… a style that feels both relaxed and sophisticated.”

A Rotterdam native with Dutch and Caribbean heritage, Sharon continues to shape a sound that is both globally resonant and deeply personal. As the first female artist signed to OVO Sound, she’s worked with a roster of acclaimed producers including Noah “40” Shebib and Beau Nox. Her rise has also been spotlighted by Spotify, naming her a 2024 R&B Rising Artist to Watch.
