Novulent Launches “VOL.3” Era with Deeply Raw Single “new low”

Novulent shares “new low,” a vulnerable track about staying in toxic love, from their upcoming album “VOL.3”.
Emerging alt visionary Novulent kicks off a compelling new chapter with “new low,” the lead single from their upcoming album VOL.3, released via Capitol Records. The track paints an unflinching picture of how emotionally draining and mentally destabilizing toxic relationships can be.
Novulent explains, “The song talks about being so desperate to be with someone that you’ve hit a new low mentally to stay with them. Peeling back their personality more and more, you see how awful they are but, in desperation and wishful thinking, you still stay with them, accepting what they are – a ‘beautiful poison.’”
Aged just 20 and based in Texas, Novulent has quickly established themselves as a poignant voice in alt music, blending shoegaze, emo, and hard rock textures into a uniquely modern emotional palette. With VOL.3, they plan to tell “the story of a love relationship – the highs and lows, the anger, the happiness, the good, the ugly and more.” Thematically inspired by early 2000s films like Thirteen and All About Lily Chou-Chou, the project will unfold like a cinematic coming-of-age narrative.
Their previous volumes have built a growing cult following. VOL.1 featured the breakout track “scars” (now with 111M+ streams), while VOL.2 offered a cathartic conversation with their past self, highlighted by the rising hit “soul ties.”
Having just wrapped their first headline tour—culminating at Mercury Lounge in NYC—Novulent is stepping into their most self-assured and artistic era yet. “new low” sets the tone.
