Damian Lazarus continues his genre-bending exploration of sound with “Alive,” a haunting and melodic collaboration with Ukrainian-born, London-based duo Bloom Twins. Released via his renowned Crosstown Rebels label, the single is the latest evolution in a year that began with the surprise release of his fifth studio album Magickal at Day Zero 2025.

Deeply emotive and rich in atmosphere, “Alive” is co-produced by Lazarus alongside acclaimed producer Mark Ralph, whose connection to Lazarus’ debut album Smoke The Monster Out adds another layer of continuity and nostalgia. Bloom Twins lend their hypnotic, dark-pop vocal style to the track, bridging the space between pop and electronic in striking fashion.

“Alive” adds another dimension to the Magickal project, broadening its sonic landscape with its blend of subtle warmth, elegant production, and soulful intensity. The track is both cinematic and danceable—an unexpected gem in the Crosstown Rebels catalogue.

Also included is a remix by Canadian DJ/producer Nick Morgan, returning to the label after his acclaimed rework of AIRRICA’s “Hi Speed Lover” in 2024. His version of “Alive” reimagines the original into a fluid and immersive journey designed for late-night floors and headphone escapism alike.
