Pop icon and critically acclaimed artist MARINA has returned with “CUPID’S GIRL,” a hypnotic and seductive new single that marks the second release in her long-awaited return. The track follows the momentum of “BUTTERFLY,” which has surpassed 9 million global streams, and signals the official launch of a bold new creative era.
Twisting romance and mythology into irresistible pop, “CUPID’S GIRL” combines rich beats and psychedelic hooks with MARINA’s unmistakable lyrical sharpness. “Cupid, you’re so stupid / trying to resist my kiss,” she teases in the chorus, later landing the hook: “Shoot my arrow right into your back.”
“CUPID’S GIRL” builds on the excitement surrounding “BUTTERFLY,” MARINA’s first release since 2022, which came paired with a visual directed by Aerin Moreno. The video made its premiere across MTV Live, MTVU, and Paramount’s Times Square billboards.
This year also sees MARINA returning to the stage in a major way, with confirmed festival appearances at Coachella (both weekends), World Pride in Washington D.C., Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga.
Further honoring her legacy, MARINA recently announced a Limited Edition Red EcoRecord of FROOT, celebrating its 10th anniversary on July 25. The special edition includes a tropical-scented sticker and features “I’m Not Hungry Anymore,” an unreleased track from the FROOT era.
From her genre-defining beginnings to her iconic present, MARINA continues to reshape what pop can be. “CUPID’S GIRL” is another powerful entry in her evolution—playful, provocative, and unmistakably hers.
