Elton John and Brandi Carlile continue to break new ground with the release of their latest music video, Swing For The Fences. The track, a euphoric blend of rock and resilience, is the latest single from their upcoming collaborative album, Who Believes In Angels?, due out April 4 via Interscope Records.

Directed by the visionary Xavier Dolan (Mommy, The Night Logan Woke Up), the video captures the raw essence of liberation through dance. Choreographed by Damien Jalet (Emilia Pérez, Anima, Suspiria), the visual follows dancer William Darby as he moves alone in his home, completely absorbed in the song’s energy. His movements build in intensity, reflecting personal freedom and emotional release. As the video unfolds, he is joined by Abdalla Amour, and their connection culminates in a moment of intimacy and acceptance.

Dolan describes the visual as a tribute to queer joy and self-expression: “Music and dance have always been central to queer culture. At a time when certain forces seek to suppress that, this video is a reminder that we will not be silenced.”

Carlile shares her motivation behind the song: “Elton and I are both queer artists who have seen our dreams come true. We wanted this to be a rallying cry for young LGBTQ+ kids—to go big, live boldly, and never hold back.”

With Swing For The Fences, Elton and Brandi deliver a message of empowerment, wrapped in soaring melodies and electrifying energy. The video is now available to watch, and the single is streaming worldwide.
