Grace VanderWaal brings an unfiltered, high-energy attitude to her latest single, “Babydoll”, featuring Aliyah’s Interlude. This new release showcases a bold shift in her sound, following the introspective “What’s Left of Me”. The track arrives alongside a visually dynamic music video, directed by Sophie Hur.

Describing the inspiration behind the track, VanderWaal states:
“In the studio, we were talking about acting bratty, going out, wanting everything, and being a diva. Tiffany Stringer and I had the idea to write a song from our alter ego’s perspective. We named mine Baby Doll: who doesn’t like to be told no. I had an amazing time writing and creating it.”

Her 2024 highlights include a standout Kennedy Center Honors performance and a role in Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, which premiered at Cannes to critical acclaim.

VanderWaal first broke out with her 2016 EP Imperfectly Perfect, which topped the EP sales charts, before releasing her debut album Just The Beginning and touring with Florence + the Machine and Imagine Dragons.

Now entering an independent era, VanderWaal is embracing her creative vision, marking a fresh new chapter in her career.
