UK garage continues its resurgence on the global stage, and Sammy Virji remains at the forefront. His latest single, “I Guess We’re Not The Same,” out now via Astralwerks, further cements his status as one of the most innovative producers in the genre.

The track, which follows his 2024 hit “Damager,” begins with a hypnotic vocal melody before evolving into a pulsating garage beat layered with deep basslines and intricate drum programming. Fans got a first listen when Four Tet played it on The Lot Radio, setting the stage for its official release.

Virji’s rise has been nothing short of spectacular. His two-night sold-out run at O2 Academy Brixton was a testament to his dedicated following, and he’s now preparing for his next North American tour.

In 2024, he reached new career milestones, performing to 55,000 people at Milton Keynes Bowl, delivering a viral Boiler Room debut in Denver, and playing iconic festival stages including Glastonbury, Boomtown, and Parklife. His collaborations with Interplanetary Criminal, Flowdan, and Chris Lake have also expanded his influence beyond UKG.

As Sammy Virji continues to push UK garage into new territory, “I Guess We’re Not The Same” serves as another defining moment in his ever-evolving career.
