Guitarist Ally Venable is redefining blues-rock with her upcoming album Money & Power, set for release on April 18 via Ruf Records. With a career built on fearless musicianship and powerful lyricism, Venable delivers a compelling statement on ambition, resilience, and artistic growth.
Produced by Grammy-winner Tom Hambridge, the album was recorded at Soundstage Studios in Nashville and features special appearances from Shemekia Copeland and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram. Their contributions amplify an already hard-hitting collection of tracks that push the genre forward while honoring its roots.
“This record is about taking up space and being unapologetic about it,” Venable shares. “I want people to feel empowered when they listen to these songs.”
The album’s lead track, “Brown Liquor,” features Kingfish’s signature fiery guitar licks, setting the tone for a record brimming with raw energy and masterful instrumentation. Meanwhile, “Unbreakable” finds Venable teaming up with Shemekia Copeland for a powerful anthem of defiance and strength.
Following her #1 Billboard Blues Chart success with Real Gone, Venable is proving once again that she is a dominant force in the blues-rock world. Money & Power is not just an album—it’s a declaration of independence, confidence, and sheer musical prowess.
Pre-orders for Money & Power are available now, with the album dropping April 18.
