Cameron Whitcomb reimagines his hit single with the heartfelt “Medusa (Acoustic),” following the original’s 26M+ global streams.

Cameron Whitcomb, the acclaimed singer-songwriter, has released “Medusa (Acoustic),” a stripped-down rendition of his widely celebrated track. The original version, praised as one of Billboard’s “5 Must-Hear New Country Songs,” has already amassed over 26 million global streams. This reimagined take highlights the raw emotion and storytelling that Whitcomb is known for.

Currently featured globally on Apple Music’s Today Country cover and recognized as one of Amazon Music’s 2025 Artists To Watch and Shazam’s Fast Forward 2025, Whitcomb is gearing up for a career-defining year. His forthcoming Hundred Mile High Tour kicks off on March 13 in Charlotte, NC, at Amos Southend. The tour, named after his upcoming single “Hundred Mile High” (out January 31), includes a sold-out stop at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on March 28, with a second show added on March 24 due to overwhelming demand.

February will see Whitcomb performing a series of headline dates in Canada before heading to Australia, where he will join Sam Barber on the Restless Mind Tour. The Australian dates are nearly sold out, showcasing Whitcomb’s rising global appeal.

This exciting new chapter follows Whitcomb’s breakout year in 2024, when he released his debut EP, Quitter. Featuring deeply personal tracks like “Love Myself” and the title song “Quitter,” the project earned critical acclaim. Billboard praised “Quitter” as “an anthemic folk track in the mold of Noah Kahan,” and it became Whitcomb’s first single to chart on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, with over 42 million streams.

With “Medusa (Acoustic),” Cameron Whitcomb continues to deliver emotionally resonant music while setting the stage for a monumental year ahead.
