BANKS shares “Love Is Unkind,” a powerful track exploring toxic love, from her upcoming album Off With Her Head, releasing February 28.

Globally renowned artist BANKS has released her latest single, “Love Is Unkind,” an introspective and emotionally raw track now available via ADA Worldwide. The song examines the complexities of a toxic relationship, blending vulnerability with BANKS’ signature brooding sound.

BANKS shares the inspiration behind the song: “‘Love Is Unkind’ is about an emotionally dangerous relationship that had me running around in circles. It’s about how love can be unkind and masochistic. Rewinding your memory and seeing things clearly.”

The single offers a glimpse into her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Off With Her Head, set to release on February 28, 2025. BANKS describes the album as both a continuation of her roots and a reflection of her personal and artistic growth: “In many ways, it’s a big sister album to Goddess. After a decade apart, I’ve reunited with the core musicians and producers who helped shape my debut. At the same time, it’s something entirely different—I’ve grown so much as an artist and a person, and the journey is documented in all these sounds.”

The album will also include previously released singles “I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend” featuring Doechii and “Best Friends.” Fans can pre-order the album now, including a vinyl edition on brown LP.
